Janet Perez – Director of Nursing at The Landings of Westerville

Janet is a natural leader and nurse educator. She was inspired to become a Nurse from an early age by watching her mother, who was also a nurse, give compassionate bedside care to every patient she had. Janet’s mom taught her the value of taking excellent and loving care of residents above all, and Janet carries that with her into every interaction with her residents. She is known for her great relationships with her residents because she goes above and beyond to ensure not only that her residents’ needs are met but also that they feel cared for and reassured by her warm smiles and gentle touch.

Janet’s mission as a leader is to carry this value into mentorship, helping other Nurses grow and impact residents in a positive way each day, the same way that her mom did for her. She is passionate about fostering Nurses’ excellence through strong training and education, which she utilizes skillfully as Director of Nursing to help her teams grow into the best caregivers they can be. Watching nurses grow and feel good about the work that they do every day makes Janet smile because she knows that continuing to foster excellence in care is a way that she can help make life just a little bit easier for all of the residents and families that she comes across. Janet loves soaking in nature via gardening, hiking trails, and most of all, the beach! As much as she loves to teach, her favorite aspect of her work will always be making her residents smile and taking care of their needs.
